Conference Description
The Alzheimer’s Disease GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
This inaugural, 2025 Gordon Research Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease will bring together scientists from academia and industry to discuss the latest breakthroughs in the study of neurodegeneration[YJ1] in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The conference will focus on complementary approaches to study genetic etiology, molecular and cellular mechanisms of disease, biomarkers and endophenotypes associated with disease progression, and potential therapeutic opportunities. The scientific sessions will focus on recent technological innovations for studying these questions, covering recent discoveries spanning functional genomics, epigenetics, systems biology, multi-omics, neuroimaging, and including clinical heterogeneity and machine learning integration of diverse datasets. A major goal of this conference is to bring leading neuroscientists from both northern and southern hemispheres to communicate exciting science and to foster new collaborations through formal scientific sessions as well as during informal interactions. To promote the next generation of neuroscientists, short talks will be specifically selected from abstracts submitted by students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career faculty members. This inaugural Alzheimer’s disease GRC will also serve as a forum for trainees to broaden their peer network, bringing together scientists from around the world to discuss and identify new directions in the field of neurodegeneration.
The topics, speakers, and discussion leaders for the conference sessions are displayed below. The conference chair is currently developing their detailed program, which will include the complete meeting schedule, as well as the talk titles for all speakers. The detailed program will be available by February 22, 2025. Please check back for updates.
