Novel Functions of Receptors from RAAS
In this session, RAAS receptors will be highlight in terms of their novel interactions ranging from co-opting by viruses to regulation of immune and neurological functions. Trainees will gain an enhanced understanding of the diversity of roles played by receptors involved in the RAAS beyond traditional models.

RAAS in the Immune System and Beyond Classical Signaling
A link between inflammatory cells and cardiovascular disease has long been recognized. In this session, the audience will be exposed to and appreciate the latest research on modulation of RAAS system by the innate and adaptive immune system. The second half of this session will focus on sex differences and aging in the modulation of the RAAS. The audience will improve their understanding on sex differences in the RAAS and recognize the importance of aging in the activation of this system.
