rental cars, and transportation options departing from Boston, so please plan accordingly.

The Aqueous Corrosion GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The 2026 Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Aqueous Corrosion, entitled 'Sustainable Solutions in Corrosion Science and Engineering', will highlight advances in surface protection of metals and alloys, sustainable corrosion mitigation through recycled and novel materials, and data-driven approaches using artificial intelligence for corrosion prediction, prevention, and modeling, and more. A central goal is to broaden participation and visibility for researchers across a range of backgrounds and institutions, including those from smaller or less-resourced research groups. By encouraging technical exchange across subfields and experience levels, the GRS in Aqueous Corrosion aims to support innovation, professional development, and the continued growth of the early-career corrosion community, creating a space where new ideas take root and sustainable solutions emerge.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below.
