Conference Description
The Atherosclerosis GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
In the 2025 GRC on Atherosclerosis, we aim to 1) highlight the novel insights on plasticity and function of cell types and cell subsets that have been identified using single cell technologies in the atherosclerotic plaque; 2) discuss new molecular pathways regulating vascular and immune cell function; 3) detail effects of germline, somatic, and epigenetic variations on cardiovascular disease; 4) Focus on the latest insights on how lipid metabolism drives atherosclerosis and 5) provide an outlook into current and future therapeutic endeavors in the field. The program will also incorporate short talks and posters from submitted abstracts to capture the latest results and provide ample presentation opportunities for trainees and students.

The conference chair is currently developing their detailed program, which will include the complete meeting schedule, as well as the talk titles for all speakers.
