As is the tradition for this conference, the program will include a range of topics and new developments broadly covering the atmosphere, providing a forum for discussion of urban and regional chemistry, global tropospheric chemistry, interactions between laboratory and theoretical studies of atmospheric chemistry, and stratospheric chemistry and dynamics. There will be particular emphasis on the role of aerosols and the implications of atmospheric chemistry research for climate change, going from polluted to remote air, from the lower to the upper atmosphere. The goal is to bring together laboratory, observational and modeling scientists that combine detailed and general perspectives on chemical mechanisms and processes in the atmosphere. The conference will be preceded by the ninth biennial ACCESS (Atmospheric Chemistry Colloquium for Emerging Senior Scientists) colloquium to be held at Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
