Conference Description
The Basal Ganglia GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The Gordon Research Seminar on the Basal Ganglia offers graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and other junior scientists a unique opportunity to share unpublished advancements and discuss emerging ideas within the field. The seminar will aim to inspire new insights into basal ganglia function and pathology by fostering connections across developmental, molecular, cellular, systems, computational, and theoretical approaches. It will also strive to provide a welcoming environment for researchers to celebrate shared scientific pursuit. Lastly, this seminar will include a career development session in which panelists discuss the evolving future of science as a profession and institution.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below. The detailed program will be available by January 23, 2024. Please check back for updates.
