Conference Description
The first meeting of the Gordon Research
Seminar (GRS) on complex carbohydrates is a unique opportunity for young
scientists (graduate students, post-docs, and early faculty) to present and
exchange cutting-edge research and ideas in an environment mainly consisting of
their direct peers.
Posters and talks
presented at this GRS will focus on the study of carbohydrate chemistry and
biology, looking at areas such as synthesis as well as glycans' behavior both in vivo and in silico, among many more. As a specific draw for younger
scientists who are as of yet undecided of their future careers, this GRS
features a Career Panel of successful members of both traditional and "non-traditional" science-related career paths.
