Due to increased demand and pricing associated with the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the Boston area, GRC strongly encourages attendees
to make travel arrangements early to help minimize associated travel costs. We anticipate limited availability of hotel rooms,
rental cars, and transportation options departing from Boston, so please plan accordingly.
As a cost-effective transportation option, we encourage attendees to consider the GRC bus service, which can be reserved directly

The Catalysis GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The focus of this meeting will be to discuss advances in fundamental catalysis that relate to emerging applications in this field. Topics will include but are not limited to: material synthesis, ex situ and operando characterization, kinetics, theoretical approaches, and data science. The meeting program will consist of oral and poster presentations from young researchers that highlight new contributions to the field. Additionally, the meeting will feature a panel with representatives from industry, national laboratories, and academia who will discuss the implications of catalyst technologies in various sectors. GRS participants are highly encouraged to apply for the Gordon Research Conference on Catalysis that will take place immediately following the GRS.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below.
