Mechanisms of Metal Acquisition, Storage, Trafficking and Homeostasis

The Gordon Research Seminar on Cell Biology of Metals is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of the 2021 GRS will be on the mechanisms by which metals are sensed and acquired from the environment, stored within cells, and trafficked to maintain homeostasis. Additionally, the 2021 GRS welcomes researchers who study metals and metal complexes in a cellular environment with novel approaches e.g. computational tools, high throughput sequencing, bioinformatics, and high-resolution microscopy. This year’s GRS will feature several sessions with short talks selected from submitted abstracts, poster sessions, and a small group mentoring session.
