The 2013 Gordon Research Seminar Cellulosomes, Cellulases & Other Carbohydrate Modifying Enzymes is an opportunity for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience to come together to present and discuss how to elucidate and understand the diversity of enzymes responsible for the conversion of plant cell wall biomass into sugars as essential precursors to both biological and industrial processes. This year’s GRS will focus on a variety of topics from both bacterial and fungal enzyme systems such as the enzyme-substrate interactions, enzyme functional and structural characterizations. Invited speakers will represent a variety of scientific disciplines, including biochemistry, molecular genetics, structural biology, computational modeling, cell biology and imaging.
