Conference Description
The Chemical and Biological Defense GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
This meeting will highlight the distinct, but interdependent nature of defense research performed at different application levels. We will begin with presentations from basic science researchers whose work, in the future, could be used to improve chemical and biological security. Then the session will transition into presentations focused on applying basic defense research, followed by a session to discuss application of translational studies into practical operation. The meeting will culminate in a mentorship panel to present career opportunities.
