Conference Description
ATTENTION: The GRS bus picks up and drops off at the Florence Airport (FLR) only. GRC no longer has bus service to / from the Pisa Airport.
The Climate Engineering GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The conference will feature programmed discussion sessions, poster presentations, and informal gatherings, providing an ideal opportunity for young researchers to interact, discuss, and promote interdisciplinary collaborations in various climate engineering methods, related uncertainties, and impact assessment.
We are excited to gather in person and welcome all interested in joining us!
Program Format
The Gordon Research Seminars are brief two-day conferences that take place on Saturdays and Sundays just before the start of the corresponding GRC. The GRS commences with a one-hour introductory meeting on Saturday afternoon, followed by a poster session, dinner, and a two-hour session in the evening. On Sunday morning, breakfast is served, followed by another two-hour session, a second poster session, and lunch. A final one-hour session takes place just after lunch, and the related GRC commences later that evening.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below. The detailed program will be available by December 19, 2023. Please check back for updates.
