Conference Description
The
Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Collagen is a unique forum for graduate
students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience
and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
The focus of the 2017 GRS on Collagen is to
provoke discussion and collaboration of interdisciplinary approaches to
collagen research amongst the emerging generation of investigators advancing
our understanding through discoveries. Featured presentations of innovative
studies will be selected by the GRS chairs. Poster and program session presentation
topics will include, but are not limited to, regulation of collagen expression,
biochemical aspects of collagen assembly, roles of collagens in cell biology,
biotechnologies, and clinical applications. Invited senior scientists will be
present during discussion sessions to advocate new ideas and provide
experienced suggestions as needed. Additionally, a keynote lecture will be
presented by a distinguished investigator of collagen at the meeting. All
attendees of the 2017 GRS on Collagen are encouraged to attend the 2017 Gordon
Research Conference (GRC) on Collagen that follows which will host world-renowned
collagen researchers and additional advances will be discussed. These two
conferences will be held at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH surrounded
by serene mountainous views. Outdoor excursions and on-site sports facilities
will be available for adventures and recreations. The 2017 GRS on Collagen will
be an atmosphere to build professional confidence, engage in scientific
discussions, and enjoy camaraderie among peers.
