Conference Description

The Gordon Research Seminar on Correlated Electron Systems is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

This meeting will focus on developments at the frontier of quantum many-electron physics, a rapidly evolving field thanks to recent breakthroughs in materials, new experimental probes, and theoretical methods. Through invited presentations and a poster session, the seminar will immerse attendees in the conversation that will continue with the Correlated Electron Systems Gordon Conference. Topics will depend on the range of submissions we receive, but may include: topological systems and Weyl semimetals, spin ice materials, complex oxides, interfaces, material design, magnetism, ultrafast behavior and control, and many body localization.

This GRS will be held in conjunction with the "Correlated Electron Systems" Gordon Research Conference (GRC). Those interested in attending both meetings must submit an application for the GRC in addition to an application for the GRS. Refer to the associated GRC program page for more information.
