Mechanochemistry and Solid-State Reactivity: State of the Art

The Gordon Research Seminar on Crystal Engineering is an outstanding forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience to come together in a stimulating, encouraging environment to discuss their current research, exchange cutting-edge ideas, and build informal networks with their peers that may lead to a lifetime of collaboration and scientific achievement.

The focus of this Seminar is to discuss mechanochemistry and solid-state reactivity in the context of crystal engineering. Particular focus will be placed on a selection of emerging techniques that traditionally have not been part of the crystal engineer's toolkit (e.g. electron diffraction, crystal structure prediction, AFM microscopy etc.), but have enormous applicability in research areas lying at the heart of crystal engineering. The GRS program will consist of the following sessions:
