Conference Description
The Endothelial Cell Phenotypes in Health and Disease GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
Building on the success of past seminars, the 2026 GRS will not only encompass cell and developmental endothelial biology in the context of health and disease but also highlight emerging research in the field ranging from omics-based approaches to study basic and translational vascular biology, lymphatics, in vitro vascular chip organoid models, vascular therapies and endothelial biomarkers. This two-day seminar will provide an opportunity for budding vascular biologists to foster discussions, new collaborations with field experts in a very relaxed and informal setting at a spectacular venue in Barcelona. This year we will feature multiple short talks selected from submitted abstracts, poster presentations providing ample opportunity for trainees to receive feedback on their ongoing work and an inspiring keynote lecture. This GRS will also feature a dedicated interactive mentorship session by early career researchers discussing tips and tricks of successfully transitioning to independent positions in academia or industry for trainees at different career stages.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below.
