Mechanistic Insights into the Effects of Environmental Endocrine Disruptors, Deciphering Genetic and Epigenetic Influences

The Gordon Research Seminar on Environmental Endocrine Disruptors is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting is to provide a platform for young investigators to exchange scientific findings regarding the mechanistic interplay between environmental contaminants and the molecular makeup of exposed organisms. Here, we hope to highlight a rapidly growing body of research demonstrating the important role of genetic and epigenetic factors in the mechanism of environmental endocrine disruptors at the cellular and organismal level. We encourage concepts from all applicable fields of research that can ultimately be used to dissect genetic or epigenetic mechanisms of environmentally based phenotypes. These include but are not limited to: novel immunological, reproductive and developmental studies in humans, model organisms and wild-life populations.
