Conference Description

The 2009 Gordon Research Conference on Fibronectin, Integrins and Related Molecules will be held February 1-6 in Ventura Beach, California. In developing the programme for the 2009 meeting, the goal has been to capture the most exciting areas of research in the field and to encourage researchers to look forward to new avenues of research. The programme will have sessions devoted to integrin structure, activation and signalling; the impact of physical forces and cytoskeletal assembly on cell adhesion; the role of cell adhesion in embryonic morphogenesis and stem cell behaviour; and the contribution of cell adhesion to disease mechanisms. A further session will be devoted to new imaging techniques that allow visualisation of cell adhesion mechanisms in real time in living tissue. In addition to the invited speakers the programme will contain short talks selected from submitted abstracts and there will be two posters sessions to further maximise scientific discussions.

Below is the current list of confirmed speakers. Three speaking slots have deliberately been left vacant to allow for late-breaking talks.
