Conference Description
The Geochemistry of Mineral Deposits GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
This seminar, held just before the main GRC, emphasizes discussion of emerging methods, pre-publication data, and provocative new directions in mineral deposit science. The seminar aims to foster an inclusive environment that encourages open scientific exchange across disciplines. As the demand for critical minerals grows and exploration becomes more challenging, early career researchers play a pivotal role in advancing process-based, transdisciplinary research on mineral systems. The GRS supports this mission by providing a space for early career voices to explore cryptic connections across mineral deposit types, leverage machine learning and geochemical data in novel ways, and challenge traditional classification schemes. Abstract submissions are being accepted. We encourage you to share your work and be part of shaping the future of mineral system science.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below. The detailed program will be available by March 24, 2026. Please check back for updates.
