Conference Description

The Gordon Research Seminar on Hormone-Dependent Cancers is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. The meeting provides trainees with opportunities to network and collaborate with others performing similar research as well as to meet leaders in the field through career development focused presentations.

While the last 50 years have provided major advancements for the treatment and eradication of hormone-dependent cancers, these options have disadvantages for many patients including ineffectiveness, intolerable side effects, and endocrine resistance. This meeting will focus on both (1) factors that drive endocrine resistance and metastasis and (2) alternative therapies for hormone-dependent cancers including breast, prostate, ovarian, and others.
