Conference Description
The Hypothalamus GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The seminar will span a broad range of topics in hypothalamic research, including but not limited to neural control of internal states and behavior, endocrine regulation of neural function, behavior, and physiology, comparative model systems, and innovative methodologies. Trainee research will be highlighted through a poster session and selected short talks chosen from abstract submissions. In addition, a panel discussion on Global Perspectives in Scientific Research will feature scientists who have trained and launched their careers across different countries, offering insights into opportunities and career paths. This meeting is designed to foster meaningful peer connections and collaborative opportunities. To promote active participation, each session will be moderated by fellow trainees, with generous time reserved for discussion and Q&A following the talks.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below. The detailed program will be available by June 16, 2026. Please check back for updates.
