| Our work on the immunological synapse has evolved as a
series of collaborations that bring together diverse skill sets to solve a
problem of how immune cells communicate. Personally, my graduate studies on
intercellular adhesion molecule-1, my post-doctoral work on lysosomal
biogenesis and my independent work on the immunological synapse, have all had
key collaborative elements to reach the highest impact. I will discuss how
collaboration at all career stages can move science and your career forward.
The discussion will emphasize the importance of carefully selecting projects
and the equal importance of taking the projects that have been undertaken to
the best possible conclusions. |
