The Gordon Research Seminar on Immunology of Fungal Infections is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

There has been an unprecedented rise in invasive fungal disease owing to an expanding immunocompromised patient population. Our need to understand the precise molecular mechanisms that govern successful immune responses to fungal pathogens is greater than ever. This inaugural Gordon Research Seminar on the Immunology of Fungal Infections will provide the platform for young investigators to present their research in a non-intimidating environment while building a rich scientific network with their peers and leading researchers in the field of fungal immunity. Discussions will span diverse topics such as innate immune recognition of fungal pathogens, adaptive immune responses, as well as newly emerging fields such as fungal-microbiota interactions, and host-fungus microenvironment. To foster networking and provide guidance, leading senior faculty from around the world have been chosen as Discussion Leaders. This seminar serves as an ideal setting to cross-pollinate researchers with broad interests, engage in cutting-edge discussions and form novel collaborations among the young fungal immunology community.
