Advances in New Ultrasonic Imaging Modes and Imaging Techniques Undergoing Clinical Evaluation

The 2022 Gordon Conference on In Vivo Ultrasound Imaging will present the latest in diagnostic ultrasound imaging technologies and potential ultrasound imaging modes being evaluated for clinical practice. The Conference will feature a wide range of topics spanning improvement in B-mode imaging using beam formation strategies, the development of novel contrast agents for contrast imaging, for super resolution imaging and ultrasound-based angiography, quantitative imaging approaches such as backscatter-based tissue characterization and elastography, photoacoustics imaging and some ultrasound-based therapy applications. The Conference is intended to foster deeper discussion of the latest advances in diagnostic ultrasound imaging by bringing together investigators who are at the forefront of their field, while also providing opportunities for junior scientists and graduate students to present their work in poster format and exchange ideas with leaders in the field. To promote deeper discussions of these topics, the Conference will include programmed discussion sessions, opportunities for informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings, poster sessions and shared meals in a common location. The multidisciplinary format and ability to maximize information transfer with the Conference format, represents an ideal venue for promoting in-depth discussions, building community, and addressing core questions across a broad spectrum of science questions related to In Vivo Ultrasound Imaging.
