Conference Description
The Inorganic Chemistry GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
The 2024 Inorganic Chemistry GRC will showcase the diversity of the field of inorganic chemistry, of both the comprised symposium and of the conference participants. The program will be equitable and inclusive of all attendees. Oral and poster presentations will highlight how inorganic chemistry has enabled innovation or discovery across a variety of topics: design and synthesis of molecules and materials, measuring and predicting structures and properties, developing and deploying new technologies. A focus, consistent with the mission of Gordon Conferences, will be on novel unpublished work. The strength of the Inorganic Gordon Conference is the culture of community that values sharing ideas across the broad spectrum of our field. In addition to invited speakers, all attendees are invited to present a poster on their research. The poster sessions provide an informal setting that promotes the free exchange of ideas and fosters the formation of new collaborations. There will be an opportunity for poster presenters to be selected for oral presentations. All participants are encouraged to participate in this poster competition by coming to the GRC with a small hard copy of their poster, to be submitted to the selection committee, and by bringing an electronic slide presentation.
The topics, speakers, and discussion leaders for the conference sessions are displayed below. The conference chair is currently developing their detailed program, which will include the complete meeting schedule, as well as the talk titles for all speakers. The detailed program will be available by February 3, 2024. Please check back for updates.
