Conference Description
The Inorganic Chemistry GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The inorganic chemistry community is multifaceted and encompasses investigators tackling a broad range of research challenges from catalysis to energy storage and conversion to the design of emergent materials and beyond. Reflecting this diversity, the 2024 Inorganic GRS will feature research spanning fundamental and applied work with the intent of showcasing the diverse and interdisciplinary nature of inorganic chemistry. This meeting will also feature a mentorship panel discussion with a group of Ph.D. scientists who have successful careers in areas of science from industry to academia to national laboratories. The aim of this mentorship panel is to facilitate participant-mentor connections and demonstrate the array of opportunities and career paths available in the inorganic community.
Application Instructions
The seminar will feature approximately 10 oral presentations and 2 poster sessions. The seminar chairs will select oral presenters from abstracts submitted by February 25th, 2024. In order to support our aim of an inclusive and diverse conference environment, we encourage those seeking financial support to also apply by February 25th, 2024 at the latest.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below.
