Conference Description
ATTENTION: The GRS bus picks up and drops off at the Florence Airport (FLR) only. GRC no longer has bus service to / from the Pisa Airport.
The Lipidomics GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
Lipidomics is a dynamic and rapidly evolving field that aims to comprehensively study lipid molecules in cells, tissues, and biofluids. By unraveling lipid profiles, this approach can provide essential insights into biological function, health, and disease. Therefore, this seminar focuses on both, the discussion of cutting-edge mass spectrometry techniques, novel analytics, and software tools as well as their application to gain a deeper understanding of the diverse roles that lipids play, paving the way for advancements in various areas of science and medicine.
Program Format
The Lipidomics GRS is a two-day event that takes place on the weekend just prior to the associated Lipidomics GRC. It will commence with a keynote session featuring an eminent researcher in the field of lipidomics. The seminar will then proceed with a diverse range of talks and poster presentations conducted by doctoral and post-doctoral researchers. Finally, the seminar will conclude with a mentorship panel discussion, providing a unique platform for early-career scientists to engage with esteemed professionals from various lipidomics disciplines.
Join us at this exciting GRS, the first of the lipidomics series, to foster a deeper understanding of the dynamic lipidomics landscapes, explore emerging methodologies, and forge connections with experts in the field.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below. The detailed program will be available by March 5, 2024. Please check back for updates.
