Conference Description

The Gordon Research Seminar on Lung Development, Injury & Repair is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting is on the influence of development, injury, and/or repair pathways on the initiation and development of lung diseases. Lung diseases such as COPD and pulmonary fibrosis are a global health burden, while acute lung injury is a common response to infectious pathogens, with lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer related deaths in the United States. A stronger understanding of these pathway’s contributions to disease will lead to the development of cutting edge treatments. We invite all graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and M.D. fellows doing research in these broad areas to submit an abstract for a poster or oral presentation.

This GRS will be held in conjunction with the "Lung Development, Injury and Repair" Gordon Research Seminar (GRS). Those interested in attending both meetings must submit an application for the GRC in addition to an application for the GRS. Refer to the associated GRC program page for more information.
