Conference Description
The Lymphatics GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The goal of the Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Lymphatics is to bring enthusiastic graduate students, post-docs and other early career scientists together to present and discuss their exciting data that promotes excellence in scientific methods and encourages creativity and collaboration for future research endeavors.
In 2024, the GRS Lymphatics will take place in the beautiful Ventura, California just prior to the Gordon Research Conference. This symposium will focus on the broad range of advances in lymphatic research. From miniscule atoms used to image lymphatic vessels to assessing the lymphatic system of organisms as a whole, research that increases our scientific understanding of lymphatic development, physiology, and pathology.
Scientists who are in an early stage in their career will have the opportunity to present their research to an audience of peers in a more relaxed atmosphere. In the absence of more experienced scientists, participants will have the opportunity to exercise their skills in assessing and spurring on the research of peers.
Compared to other organ systems, the lymphatic system and lymphatic diseases are poorly understood. We hope to equip and to encourage the next generation of scientists to delve into the mysteries of lymphatics and make discoveries that revolutionize the future of lymphatic science.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below. The detailed program will be available by January 2, 2024. Please check back for updates.
