Integrating Structure, Function and Dynamics to Unravel the Mechanisms of Membrane Transport

This meeting will focus on emphasizing research that guides an understanding of how transport of ions, small molecules, lipids and peptides occurs in the complex environment of the cell membrane. In particular, the meeting will focus on linking structure, function and dynamics of membrane transporters and channels as well as the membrane itself to provide an overall picture of the biological processes these transport systems are involved in. The seminar will further include a mentorship component with talks and discussions with an experienced scientist to provide guidance for young scientists in their early career stages.
