Conference Description
The Medicinal Chemistry GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The focus of this workshop is to explore core concepts and strategies important to medicinal chemists working in drug discovery. Topics will explore innovative technologies and proven principles applied across lead generation and lead optimization, along with key concepts in pharmacokinetics, safety and in silico tools critical to advancing small molecule leads and drug candidates. The keynote case study will highlight the practical application of these concepts and principles used to deliver a clinical candidate. This seminar is organized in an interactive workshop format, allowing for close engagement between experienced medicinal chemists and course participants. Participants have the opportunity to share their work in poster sessions representing various therapeutic areas and drug discovery approaches across academia and industry.
