Insights into Embryogenesis, Stemness and Translational Applications of Neural Crest and Cranial Placodes

The Gordon Research Seminar on Neural Crest and Cranial Placodes is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

Research on neural crest cells and cranial placodes is diverse, and studies range from understanding the molecular, cellular, or evolutionary origins of these cells to translational studies focused on preventative and therapeutic interventions. This meeting will span the gamut of these studies to provide attendees with a comprehensive view of research on both development and applications of neural crest cells and cranial placodes. We will feature both talks and posters from early career researchers, as well as a career panel from scientists highly engaged in neural crest cell or placode research. Overall, the goal for this meeting is to engage deep discussion and form valuable collaborations within peers of the neural crest cell and placode community.
