Conference Description

ATTENTION: The GRS bus picks up and drops off at the Florence Airport (FLR) only. GRC no longer has bus service to / from the Pisa Airport.

The Neural Development GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.

The 2024 meeting will feature talks and posters on a range of topics and model organisms: from neuronal identity and diversity, to neural stem cells and organoids, to glial biology, to patterning robust, functional circuits, and understanding the dysfunction of these circuits in disease models. All attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in discussions with peers and invited senior scientists about career navigation, inclusivity and belonging in neuroscience, as well as develop strong mentorship networks. As a result, this meeting aims to provide a unique opportunity for trainees from all over the world to engage in meaningful, interactive scientific discussions, and foster collaborative relationships.
