Neurodegenerative Disease: From Molecular Mechanisms to Potential Therapies

The meeting will focus on molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. This meeting will give students, postdocs, and early investigators the opportunity to discuss their basic and translational research on topics including genetics, immune mechanisms, RNA metabolism, lysosomal biology, autophagy, epigenetic changes, intracellular mechanisms, protein processing and intercellular interactions. This seminar will conclude with an interactive Q&A session with leaders in the field to discuss their career paths and grant writing experiences.
