Conference Description
The Organometallic Chemistry GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
This GRS will focus on how organometallic chemistry is leveraged to address global challenges in sustainability, with a particular focus on dynamic, multidisciplinary approaches. Topics will include: catalysis and catalyst design, supramolecular chemistry, and emerging organometallic strategies for sustainable chemical transformations. Graduate student and postdoctoral scholar attendees will have the opportunity to present their research, participate in scientific discussion, and establish community and network with their peers as well as mentors from academia and industry. To foster an inclusive environment, early career researchers from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Attendees are also encouraged to apply to the associated GRC.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below. The detailed program will be available by May 13, 2025. Please check back for updates.
