The first Gordon Research Conference on the Physics and Chemistry of Microfluidics was held in July/August 2001 in Oxford, England. It was a great success, with thought-provoking formal sessions on important subtopics relevant to the field of microfluidics, as well as, informal unstructured time used for stimulating discussions amongst all participants. The second conference in this series is scheduled for August 24 through August 29, 2003 at the Big Sky Resort, Big Sky, Montana, to further the discovery and advancement of the science that underpins the development of micro-nanofluidic technology. Speakers will contribute their very latest results in the research and development of microfluidic systems for a wide variety of exciting applications from genomics to proteomics to chemical synthesis.
