Conference Description
The Plasmonics and Nanophotonics GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
This meeting highlights the evolving landscape of nanoscale light manipulation through the lens of photonic interfaces—points of connection where photons interact with matter and technology. These interfaces open pathways from fundamental discoveries to translation into emerging applications across biomedicine, energy, imaging and displays, quantum and classical information technologies, and beyond. By emphasizing both core scientific advances and opportunities for real-world impact, the seminar invites participants to share their vision for how photonic interfaces will shape next-generation technologies. Alongside research presentations and peer-led discussions, the program will feature a technology translation and career perspectives panel, where experts from academia, industry, and entrepreneurship will share insights on turning fundamental research into practical innovations.
