Conference Description
The Protein Engineering GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
The 2025 conference focuses on protein engineering and its applications in chemical, agricultural, and medical industries as well as fundamental research and enabling technologies. Sessions in the conference will cover in breadth and depth a wide variety of topics, such as directed evolution, rational design, AI for protein engineering, emerging trends in protein engineering, as well as protein engineering for biocatalysis, synthetic biology, biosensors and bioimaging, Immunotherapy, and other health and industrial applications. The program will address not only the technical challenges in protein engineering, but also seek to better understand the protein structure-function-dynamics relationship and expand their application scope. The GRC will bring together world-leading young and established protein engineers from academia and industry to exchange the latest results and techniques in the broad fields of protein engineering and its applications, thus driving new ideas and cross-field collaborations while enhancing and promoting the careers of the next generation of scientists in this dynamic and exciting field.
The topics, speakers, and discussion leaders for the conference sessions are displayed below. The conference chair is currently developing their detailed program, which will include the complete meeting schedule, as well as the talk titles for all speakers. The detailed program will be available by March 29, 2025. Please check back for updates.
