Conference Description
The Protein Folding Dynamics GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Protein Folding Dynamics offers trainees a unique forum to share their protein structure and function research. The GRS gathers graduate students, postdocs, and other trainees from diverse scientific backgrounds and disciplines to deliver oral and poster presentations to an audience of researchers at similar career stages. The Protein Folding Dynamics GRS will encompass themes including intrinsically disordered proteins, large membrane complexes, protein-protein interactions, and more! The attendees' expertise in biology, biophysics, chemistry, computer science, and mathematics will ensure fruitful discussions, foster peer-to-peer mentorship, and facilitate breakthroughs and collaborations. The emphasis of the GRS on informal scientific discussions and networking encourages trainee participation.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below.
