Insights into the Molecular Mechanisms of Protein Trafficking

The Gordon Research Seminar on Protein Processing, Trafficking and Secretion is a unique opportunity for graduate students, post-docs and other scientists of comparable levels of experience and education to share and discuss new data and ideas.

The central topic of this meeting will be the cellular and molecular processes of the secretory pathway with a focus on the regulation of protein trafficking. In particular, the meeting will address the birth, maturation and transport of cargoes, including the role of lipid signaling and lipid metabolism in membrane dynamics. The main objectives are to expose scientific questions and technical challenges that confront the field and to offer an introduction to new and powerful technology available to address these challenges.

The seminar will include both a keynote lecture and a mentoring session led by leading scientists in the public and private sector to provide guidance for the next generation of research scientists.
