Conference Description
The Gordon Research Seminar on Proteolytic Enzymes & Their Inhibitors is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
We have had tremendous interest from a wide variety of protease biologists! The abstracts we have received have been outstanding. We are so impressed by the breadth and expertise displayed by the next generation of scientists studying protease function, structure, inhibition and regulation.
We are pleased that nearly all of our GRS attendees are staying to attend the related GRC on Proteolytic Enzymes and their Inhibitors (Chair Klaudia Brix). This meeting will indeed have a strong representation from the next generation of scientists (and bring down the median age of attendees!). We will also be selecting one GRS attendee to present their work as an oral presentation on the Tuesday afternoon of the GRC.
The inaugural GRS on Proteolytic Enzymes and their Inhibitors will feature 10 oral presentations and two poster sessions. To try and showcase ALL the research we are going to offer a voluntary "POSTER TOUR". This is a relaxed and fun way of presenting your research to your fellow seminar attendees (and also a great way to see all the science on offer!!). The format will be a 2-minute presentation in front of your poster - with each poster presenter pointing out on the most relevant points to their research. It will give you a taste of what is on offer and hopefully an introduction to go back and talk to each presenter in more detail.
Looking forward to seeing everyone is beautiful Tuscany.
