Synergy Between Experiment and Computation Within Science at the Extremes

Advancements in science at high pressures are being increasingly driven by growing partnerships between experiment and computation. The focus of the 2022 Gordon Research Seminar and Conference on Research at High Pressure is to explore the ways in which advancements in both experimental and computational methods can lead the way to new discoveries, and particularly how they can influence and inspire one another.

Held immediately prior to the Gordon Research Conference on Research at High Pressure, the Gordon Research Seminar is a unique platform for students and early career researchers to exchange new data and cutting-edge ideas pertaining to the study of materials at extreme pressure conditions. The seminar provides graduate students and early career scientists with an introduction to the current hot topics in the field, and to the format, collegiality, and conversational nature of the GRC. Early career scientists will present new, unpublished results from their own work, and have the opportunity to discuss present and future projects with other junior researchers.
