Integrating Diversity in the Study of Speciation

The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Speciation is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting-edge ideas. This two-day meeting is followed by the Gordon Research Conference on Speciation, co-chaired by Rebecca Safran and Catherine Peichel, and participants are encouraged to attend and present at both meetings. As with all Gordon Conferences, these meetings will strongly emphasize the presentation of unpublished results and contain ample time for discussion and networking.

This seminar will bring together a diverse group of early career scientists with a wide range of research backgrounds to integrate and synthesize current topics in the field of speciation research. Participants of the GRS will present their work and engage in scientific discussions on outstanding questions in speciation research. In addition, the GRS will feature a mentoring program where attendees will have the opportunity to interact with several experienced scientists in a friendly and informal setting. This is a unique opportunity for young researchers to present their work, share ideas, and build connections with their colleagues and leading international experts at the forefront of speciation research.
