Conference Description

The Gordon Research Seminar on Ultrafast Phenomena in Cooperative Systems is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

In this affiliated seminar we will discuss exciting results and novel methods in the field of ultrafast phenomena of cooperative systems, including ultrafast x-ray experiments, space- and time-resolved optical techniques, THz detection and excitation, and tr-ARPES. The phenomena under study will include ultrafast phase transitions, dynamics of coupled electronic, phonon and spin systems, manipulation of quantum and topological states of matter, and non-linear effects of coherently driven lattice and electronic modes on their fundamental timescales.

This GRS will be held in conjunction with the "Ultrafast Phenomena in Cooperative Systems" Gordon Research Conference (GRC).
