The Gordon Research Seminar on Visual System Development is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The 2014 Visual Systems Development Gordon Research Seminar will provide outstanding Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Research Fellows the opportunity to present and discuss cutting edge research pertaining to the development, function and maintenance of the visual system. The seminar will highlight emerging topics on both development and maintenance of the visual system, including stem cell engineering and the directed differentiation to specific ocular cell types, the cell and tissue interactions of development that mediate visual processing, and emerging models and mechanisms of vision-impairing diseases. The collegial and intimate atmosphere and dedicated formal and informal discussion sessions will provide an ideal opportunity for the next-generation of leading vision scientists to interact, foster collaborations and share career advice at this pivotal point in their careers.
