Unconventional Experiments and Analysis Methods Enabled by Brighter X-Ray Sources

The brightness of fourth generation synchrotron light sources and free electron lasers has led to a new generation of experiments which push forward the frontiers of space, time, and energy resolution. Furthermore, the coherence of these sources enables whole new categories of experiments while expanding the possibilities for analysis of data from standard experiments. In order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and spark the development of new directions in X-ray science, this seminar will highlight work by young researchers to develop and make use of these new experimental and analysis methods in unconventional ways.
