Conference Description
ATTENTION: The GRS bus picks up and drops off at the Florence Airport (FLR) only. GRC no longer has bus service to / from the Pisa Airport.
The Angiotensin GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The Angiotensin Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) offers a unique opportunity for young scientists at all levels to share novel data and innovative concepts in science. The 2024 seminar will focus on sharing knowledge of recent tools and breakthroughs to explore the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System (RAAS) in the pathophysiology of cardiovascular diseases. We will highlight the sex and racial disparities in hypertension involving the RAAS. The mentoring block emphasizes career development and provides a session to discuss important aspects such as grant writing and self-management. Moreover, it offers a one-to-one meeting with a mentor to discuss one's career.
An outline of the program components for this GRS is displayed below. The seminar chair is currently developing their detailed program schedule, which will include the speakers they select from submitted abstracts, in addition to any additional components outlined below. The detailed program will be available by December 26, 2023. Please check back for updates.
