The Drug Metabolism scientific programs focus on current frontiers of science concerning the metabolism and disposition of drugs and related xenobiotics. The theme for the 36th Gordon Research Conference on Drug Metabolism is "Can We Predict Drug Metabolism/Disposition? If Not, Why Not? What is Needed?" The program will follow the traditional GRC Drug Metabolism format with the keynote lecture Sunday evening, 4 morning sessions with 4 speakers each, 3 evening sessions with 3 speakers each, and Wednesday evening 6 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows will make oral presentations selected from the outstanding posters submitted. Social activities will include the annual Industry vs. Academia softball game on Tuesday afternoon. Planned participants are encouraged to submit poster presentations with the sessions organized by Vice Chair Jae Lee. Last year we set a record of 62 posters for a Drug Metabolism Gordon Research Conference. Looking forward to exciting presentations and penetrating scientific discussions throughout the week.

We dedicate this 36th Gordon Research Conference on Drug Metabolism to Grant R. Wilkinson, Chair of the 22nd Conference, who passed away on June 13 of this year. Grant was scheduled to speak at this year's meeting, and we will miss his significant and continuing contributions to our discipline.
