The Plasmonics and Nanophotonics GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
Inspired by the huge success of the previous eight Gordon Research Conferences on Plasmonics, from 2006 to 2022, the GRC on Plasmonics and Nanophotonics will unite many of the most active world-renowned senior and junior scientists in the field. The fields of plasmonics and nanophotonics encompass the science and engineering of optical interactions with nanostructures whose optical resonances that can efficiently harvest light, strongly enhance electromagnetic fields, and precisely direct carrier transport. Understanding and utilizing these resonances spans multiple disciplines, from physics to chemistry, material science, biology, medicine, information, energy, and communications. This meeting will highlight some of the most exciting recent progress in the field including plasmon- and Mie-enabled photochemistry, biomedical imaging and therapy, active and neuromorphic nanophotonics, meta-optics, nanoscale and molecular optoelectronics, polaritonics, quantum nanophotonics, novel theoretical methods and experimental approaches, and sustainable materials.
In addition to participating in the GRC, students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior scientists are also encouraged to attend the associated Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Saturday (July 6th) and Sunday (July 7th) prior to the GRC.
