This conference will highlight fundamental aspects of enzymology relating to life processes. The sessions will highlight the molecular level transformations that underlie the biosynthesis of a variety of biological entities from proteins to structurally complex small molecule natural products. In addition, the conference will feature sessions on the frontiers of structural enzymology and drug development. The speakers will include established and emerging leaders from academic and industrial arenas to provide perspective and to lead stimulating discussions among attendees, which are historically diverse and include representatives from both academia and industry. The meeting encourages participation by graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and there will be opportunities for presentations chosen from poster submissions.
